Just took a trip to germany today, there is a really big musicstore there and went a few hours to take some basses for a ride:) they have got 4 seperate testing rooms for bass so i could take my time trying a bunch of basses. I started out taking a standard stingray and sterling and then f..... jazz and precision but i wasnt really impressed about them. So took on some gibbys, well same story. Actually even a bit worse. The build qualit was not what it should be. Took a variety of other brands too. End of story, i am so glad i bought my musicmans instead of anything else. They still come out on top. The only thing that came close was a sandberg california jazz model active with humbucker at the bridge and j pickup in the midle. Really nice sound but disapointing that they use 2 different pieces of maple for their necks and fretboards.

musicman rules all! :)

Musicstore in köln. Not the best musicstore in the world but they do have a huge selection as they are the largest musicstore in europe and great store too. You can just grab anny bass or guitar of the wall and plug it in in your own private testing booth. Great if you dan neccesarilly want to buy but just want to test alot of gear.

My pal Terry plays a L/H Sandberg Califonian 4string out here in Spain and it sounds great... He got it in PX for his Honeyburst SR5..., BIG MISTAKE he says now that he should have gone for an EBMM ´Ray ´Ling or Sabre.....

Well they are not quite as good as ebmm. But definetly worth checking out and if you go for a pretty standard one they are a bit cheaper then ebmm too.

Yep. But sound wise i find em verry good. Some of the details are a bit less.... if you are a relic fan this is a verry good option. But i dont like relics so ill stay with ebmm.
