I have a Sterling 4 string, it just stopped playing- no sound out of input not even a noise when I wiggle the cord. Changed battery (of course) opened her up, didn't see any soldering undone.
I'm at a loss- anybody?

One thing, and I'd bet CS would like the answer/result
of a certain simple test/check, as follows:

You know that hum noise you get when you switch on
your amp and dial it up ready to play, WITH the guitar
cord hanging from the input ... but happen to neglect
to plug your ax onto the other end of the cord ? OK, so
when you're actually plugged in as if to play, but hey,
ain't no music coming out, do you get that same hum
sound WITH the ax on the cord as you'd get WITHOUT
an ax hooked the ax end of the cord ? IOW, is it like as
if the instrument just isn't there, even though it is ?

I think thaz something you oughta check and inform
CS. Personally, if the cord WITH ax hums the same as
a cord WITHOUT ax, I'd suspect your bass's ground is
bad inside the bass [broken jack, a wire you don't see,
whatever] but CS are the experts. All I'm saying is run
that test so you can tell CS about the result.
