I need to know how much I need to save up.
You know who I think would have LOVED the gamechanger back in his day? Brian May and David Gilmour.
I haved lived my entire Music Man career with a negative reception. I expect it.
Please understand that the gear heads that are complaining think that we are creating sound. We arent creating any tones. We are unlocking and setting free sonic combinations that have been around for 50 years....locked in the guitar. They think we are touching the signal (even though it is stressed many times in the videos that it doesnt touch the signal) THese people are happy not knowing what their guitar is capable of...they want the switch to tell them how to sound..thats fine we still make them that way too.

Welcome to the forum! I've also been one to constantly re-wire. Series/split/parallel, out of phase, different capacitors in parallel, inductors, etc. The idea of having more control at my fingertips is a welcome idea.
In terms of availability, I suspect it's too soon to say. They've only just introduced the product and will have their hands full for a while.
Historically EBMM doesn't sell any proprietary parts that are in their instruments, however you really never know what's going to happen.

I've been playing guitar for nearly 40 years and I can honestly say this is the biggest wow I've had since I saw my first strat (no offence to EBMM).
It's a refreshing change to witness the development of something in music which is so extraordinary, it truly lives up to its name.
When I saw the first video (late as usual), I couldn't go to bed until I'd watched the lot.
It staggers me how some people don't get, don't want change, don't want to try new things, and yet that's fine. But please, you know who you are, stop knocking those of us who are open to new experiences, new sounds.
The game changer made me think about guitar in a completely different way. Boy, I can now have all those sounds from guitar brands that I don't like to play, whilst at the same timeplay an instrument I truly love. Bottom line here, how brilliant is that!!
There is one thought I'd had since watching the videos and I'm sure your team have thought about this. I've likened the Gamechanger to a multi-effects unit in that with a quick press you can dial in a new sound. But, when storing the sound, you have to remember where it's stored. Would there be merit in introducing a small display with letter and number so that the player knows which "patch" they put into each "bank?"
It's just a suggestion.
Here's wishing you a truly successful and memorable NAMM BP and the EBMM team - you thoroughly deserve it.
