This is amazing! Thanks BP for giving us a first-look.

I'm sure all will be revealed tomorrow and the following days, but the one question I still have is if you download a preset from the website and store it in your guitar, is it going to sound like the guitar the preset came from, or will it sound like the pup combination in the guitar in your hands?

Said differently, suppose Albert Lee posts a pre-set and he's using a gamechanger Reflex with a maple fretboard and a pup combination that uses the middle single coil pup. Now let's say I download that preset for a gamechanger Reflex with rosewood fretboard and two humbucker pups. What sound will I get? How it sounds in his guitar with that pup and wood configuration, or how that preset pup combination sounds with the pups and wood combination of the guitar in my hands? Is that even possible since the guitar, theoretically in my hands, does not have a middle single coil pup?

The capabilities here are so mind-blowing. I can't wait to understand better the full extent of what it can do!

I think I will have to try it out, before having a real opinion. To me it looks not that easy to use, but .. maybe its different live ...

OK first, very nice web site and once it is live most likely even better. And looks like this could be way huge, but, yea i have a few buts:) first has anyone asked MSRP on these?? I have not seen it, plus I am always sceptical on new tchnology, though thats me:)

And will it be offered eventually on other model besides the reflex and in different colors? Look forward to hearing and seeing more about this and my chance to play with it live!:cool:

Keith, all the info will be out tomorrow after the NAMM Show starts! BP has said it will be on the Reflex for a while.

I think it looks awesome!!

Love the comment from Craig about people saying it will be too complicated etc without even trying it out in the flesh. Mind you, if you can't get people to move on from 60 year old designs for guitars, God alone knows how they'll cope when presented with something you connect to thes computer things (which are just a passing phase and will never become popular if you ask me!!!).

It's really interesting to see how open minded the really great players are when it comes to looking into the huge possibilities afforded by the switching combinations.

Of course, there's no way I'll be allowed one, as my first action will be to take it to pieces to look at the wires and say 'oooh'. There's a 10-20% possibility that I'd put it back together again, but I'd mainly just look and go 'oooh, pretty wires'.

I reckon the next step forward now will be using thought control to select presets on the guitar!! (which is actually possible by the way)

I had some questions in the same vein as well; additionally I was wondering if it would be available down the road to update/retrofit existing ebmm guitars. It would be really cool, but wouldn't sell new guitars.

I am not sure I understand the Bank Z concept.
Bank Z had 15 presets.
So bank Z allows 3 more banks on the 5 way switch?
In the heat of battle, How do you know where you are with respect to bank Z?
Is there any visual indication?
