I saw a thread in the bass forum that was interesting that I thought would be fun here. How old are you and what is your occupation?

I'm 31. I work for a large broker company supporting their backend computer systems.

Oh, and I'm a Macintosh freak :D

I'm 28, and I'm getting my PhD in Computer Science. I'm an amateur guitarist who's been trying to play like my heroes for about 12 years. I think I'm slowly getting better :)

This board proudly moderated (on this side, at least!) using Mac OS X. :)

also known as bass players and drummers :D

Seriously though, my former bass player (GERRY) had a son w/ Asbergers (form of autism).

When I first started jamming with Gerry, I took him to a Laker game, and on the drive he started talking about his son and how he could never take him to an arena because all the commotion would just freak him out. And besides, he had no interest in sports whatsoever.

Fast forward about a year later, I gave Gerry 2 tix to a game, he took his son and crossed his fingers. BAM. his son (11) absolutely loved it, and now lives and breathes the Lakers, as well as plays basketball all the time now. Thereby giving gerry and his son a gift that will last them forever.

And me a great feeling of being a part of that.

Just turned 36 this past Saturday...(12/4..) and I am a defense contractor/consultant.

Playin' the guitar seriously (actually learnin') for about a 1 1/2 now I guess. I dabbled for years, but never serious like now. So, I guess that makes me a serious learner...hehehehe

40, Sales, I sell blocks of hours on private business jets.

Fronted and played guitar in the same rock band from the time I was 13 until I was 27. Still love to play, but the wife, kids, cats and dog are now my audience. The two things that I have always loved, is playing guitar and flying airplanes, I am blessed to be able to do both.

Well I just turned 40 this summer and I am a Mechanical Designer working for a major defense contracter here in Massachusetts. I'm married with 2 girls 3 and 6 and they're awesome. They love looking at and playing dad's guitars, but only when they are with me. Otherwise it's hands off. I'm sure that will change when they become teenagers.

I have been a want to be guitarist since I was 18 and since getting my EBMM I've gotten a little bit better, very little mind you though.

Koog's who you working for man???

24 years young. I run the family music store, and work full-time playing pharmacist at an independent pharmacy here in town.

On top of all that, I have a few guitar students in the evenings - And I still manage to find time to gig on average twice a month, and persue my passion of restoring muscle cars
