Howdy boys and squirrels from cloudy, humid Lima, Peru.

I see you guys are mostly taking care of yourselves....ahem. Those who have NOT are advised to do so immediately. This city is crawling with out-of-work 'brujos', guys who cast spells using guinea pig guts and rooster heads and who knows what else, and I'm not scared to kill a guinea pig. (Or eat one, for that matter.)

Hope your Christmas was merry and that your New Year is most excellent and that Steve's hand uncurls and that BP's gig goes well and that the rest of you save your hard-earned cash and order basses from me quite soon and, um, yeah, world peace, no hunger, all that stuff.

Ben, even from South America, I can see that you've been bad/good. Bring me that Stealth Bongo, youngster!

Not much to report. Family is well, Jeremy is speaking Spanish, I am drinking and eating vast quantities of good things and have been assigned a driver and a relatively small personal weapon. WTF else does a man need?

Photos upon return. DO NOT FIGHT ON THE INTERNET.

You know the sayings about that sort of thing.

Okay, I'll be home on the 2nd but will try to check in again before then.

Kisses.

Jack

Indeed I did. Beautiful bass. But Ben had this single hummer Bongo and, well, we knew that deal was comin'.

Well, to say that I'm looking forward to getting this beaut is an understatement! Initiation coming NYE.

Besides, the bigger picture for me is a new B4 H DG (or BP)...I'll be GAS'n soon!

This just in: Moondoggie Ken has just given me GAS for a fretless BC Ray (w/Piezo) that he undoubtedly has his hands on right now. Bassturd.

Minding the store here Jacko..Darg shipped out two more to VBTC from the factory today and I got 1 or 2 new orders in (gimp hand and all).

Your Omastikthay Infeldway Ingsstray are on their way to you in the morning with some Christmas goodies.

When you get home we need to have a chat as some things have changed since you've been gone.

Yes. I have. Ask anyone. From Paula's reaction, you'd think I bought another bass. "No, no," I said. "I traded basses."

She had the same reaction. No more trading for me for a long, long time. Definitely no buying. Hope everyone likes their basses they got from me! Hope I can remember what sex used to be like. Oi, but also hee!

Maybe Stealth will be the color that does it for her.

Here's the list of the ones that have failed to impress and turn on:

1.) Warwick Corvette Standard w/active elec. (well, yeah..but it was an early one)
2.) Roscoe SKB-3005 fretless in Boxelder Burl (sold to finance new central air unit)
3.) Wal MkIII 4-banger in red-stained Quilt Maple (still got it)
4.) Modulus Quantum 5 in Black Stone over Figured Maple (oh yeah, got that one)
5.) Blue Pearl Bongo 4HH (my baby)
6.) Peavey Axcelerator 2-T freltess 4 in black (yes, I know...but nice bass still)
7 ) Bongo 5H in Rolls Burgundy (what was I thinking?)
8.) Stingray 4 in Buttercream (traded for Bongo 5H)
9.) Stingray 4 fretless in Translucent Teal (thanks mommy, merry yule to you, too)
10.) Stingray 4 2-band in White (on its way to James)
11.) Axis Sport w/piezo and MM90's (whoa, this is one nice gee-tar!)

Suddenly I get the feeling I've been going about this whole sex thing all wrong. Perhaps I should have played the euphonium.

Good to hear from you guys, too.

Steve, I shall call you ASAP upon arrival in US. Some things have changed....you mean besides gimping up your hand? I have been hoping against hope that you would finally get the enlargement surgery done.

Ben, if you cant even trade basses, we need to talk. I mean, I love Paula, but men are meant to trade basses. Its instinctual.

Okay, off to see if I can find some coffee in this house.

I'm not inclined to think so, James. I'm really, really stoked about this one.

You don't think Jack will cast a line out there for 'ya?

BTW, you should be seeing that delivery any time now...house arrest?
