AL in Tobacco Burst, anyone?pics

i had the opportunity to meet MR. Lee about a year ago and he was the nicest guy... his sense of humor and humility was top notch. I've had the opportunity to meet many a famous musicians and by far Mr. Lee was the nicest and wasn't afraid to share his "secrets"...

I remember a young man asking what made him so good...
And Al chuckled... and was like "I'm Good? Well... Thanks! I got to where i'm at by practicing. I really spent a lot of time on Scales... and I love what i do... I get paid to Tinker!"

i'm thinkin i might go a trans orange AL, instead of black, cos i dont know if i want another axis, which wouldve been my choice for a guitar with a trans colour. dont see too many pics of trans orange, foggy???

its not an AL but it is trans orange born in June of this year waited 5 months for her and i love it!

yes i've been looking at that pic a lot recently! great trans orange, hard to picture it on a AL with scratchplate, the one on the online builder looks odd.

The second post in this thread is an AL w/MM90s (black covers) on a white PG. Is that not what you are looking for?

Theres also a white on white pearloid guard at the MM site in the color chart (#11).

can you get the AL with upgrade top, or is that just for the Axis and Super Sports? havent seen any AL's with upgrade, but i thought the trans and burst colours had an upgrade option.

Usually for the trans theres an extra charge. -but I think it was overlooked in my case !

but for the axis you can get the upgrade colour ( trans for example ) AND pay the extra $500US for a quilt or flame top. is this the same for the AL? seeing as i've never seen any i'm guessing no.

does this mean the upgraded flame/quilt top is only avilable on the Axis'?

No - there's no upgrade for the AL. Its not capped liked the Axis or the Y2D, just solid ash so the trans finishes would show the grain pattern of the body wood.

I hear ya !!! The trans colors look awesome......I think that the vintage burst may just well be my next AL

Just spotted this one from the shop I've purchased my balls from...(Express Music, www.expressmusicinc.com). Exactly what you were looking for, Tobacco Burst with white P90's. I've got a bonus coming soon, if it's still there in a week or two, it will be mine..But if it's gone, no big deal, already have a AL, a Luke is next on my list, but this guitar just looks to cool...
