Albert Lee - I'm gutted

I posted yesterday regarding my trip today to see Albert Lee play in Prestatyn Haven Holidy site in North Wales ( a 4 hour trip)

I came into work and phoned the site to make sure that Albert was there tonight.
They said that unless I was actually staying at the Holiday Site I can't get in unless someone signs me (and my ex good mate in).
So here is a (very) longshot!

Anybody reading this that is on the Haven Holiday site to se the concert, please phone me on my mobile number to arrange to get me signed into the holiday site.

My mobile is on the next posting which I shall delete tomorrow.

Shame if you miss AL, but I've played at Haven Holiday Parks and believe me I'd sooner be poached in my own piss than do so again.

Can't you try hiring a caravan for the night and become a "resident".....can't be full in North Wales in May surely??

I've had a couple of holidays there whem my kids were young. - I know what you mean but at the time it was kinda OK - they enjoyed it and we always had great weather too!!

I thought that there wouldn't be many there but I think it's one of those 3 day events that has a headline act on the last night.

All I need is Alberts number and ask him to sign me in!

......well perhaps not quite fair of me to give that impression. Playing to the usual denizens of these places is indeed vile, but sounds like they have some sort of country music 3 day convention going, using this as the venue. A Haven Holiday park would surely not normally book AL and company, they're far too cheap for that.........they'd have me and the girl singer instead!!

Probably just as well, I think I'd have had a heart attack if he'd come on here with "Gutted.....the sequel" in July.

I'd bet that Albert would be touched you continually want to see him play. Let's not forget the difference between rock stars and working musicians. Al's unbelievably talented and genuinely warm but he's not on a tour that's grossing 50 million. And this allows him to have a way more personal interaction with those that seek out his music.

I'm grateful me and Pugninjas saw him at a small club near vegas. It was mostly covers, but superb playing.

I'd like to see him play all or mostly originals the next time I see him around here.
