... ya could have popped over to my gaff to compare sss v mm90 Als.
Yer not far away![]()
I am planning a trip to Knighton Guitars Spud sometime late September with a bit of luck. Just got to wait for our fortunes to turn a little more and then I can pull on an Al. Looking forward to joining the famous ALOC.
Hey Spud
Quick question on the Al.
I note that it is strung with 10's except for a 16 on the 3rd string. Can you buy sets of strings with this combination or does this mean combining slinky 10's with a purchase of an extra 3rd string?
It's ultimately up to you... I own both and am in love with a couple of SSS's we have at the office. They're all incredible.
Hey Spud
I would really like that and thank you for your kind offer. I know KM are showing as having a sunburst model signed by AL on the front. Very nice but not my colour. EBMM UK website is under construction at the moment so I can't check what they have in stock and I'm not going to bother those great guys with a call.
I have to wait for my ship to come in first before I can move on this Spud, so I'm not going to waste anyones time until it does. I can't believe I've been ball-less for so long. Having to sell my Luke was like losing a friend, especially as that was the guitar I played at my wedding. But, when times are hard, decisions have to be made.
Looking forward to getting back into the EBMM family again and hopefully this time for good.
I'll be in touch Spud when I am ready to organise a trip.
All the best and thanks again
Paul
ALOC has great power. And with great power, comes great responsibility.
I have had the AL count as high as 3. Currently sitting at 1. amazingly cool axe. The shape alone is worth the price of admission.
