Texas Finally!
Alright my final update on this matter, I went in this morning and picked the guitar up at the police department. To my amazement it was in the same shape as when it shipped, all the extras I had put in the case were still there and even the bubble wrap for protection and it was still just about in tune!!

I will explain just what happened in anher welcome home guitar thread.

Mods Sorry to post this in the main section but the guitar side does not have a sticky for stolen instruments, plus I would like everyone to see this. The events of this guitar are unbeliveable. And as we all know thieves SUCK!!

Anyways I/we(will explain the we later) had a new Music Man Luke III stolen, Serial Number G65344.

Please keep your eyes open for this guitar, especially on Ebay and Craigs List, I do a have a stolen property report filled with the Garland Police Department. It is veriifed that this guitar is in the North Texas area. Police confirmed it was briefly in a pawn shop and Guitar Center called me quickly when someone tried to sell it to them.

The whole situation sucks and I will explain more later of the events that led to this, Oh Well no new guitars for awhile:(

Sorry to hear that. I had a '91 Ibanez RG550 stolen at a gig once in '94. The Chicago Police Department were awesome in working with me. Because the guitar was worth more than $500, it was a felony and it was considere a higher priority. Luckily I had pics and docs to verify this, which helped them. Through many inquiries, we were able to find a person who knew a person who knew the thief. The CPD and myself set up a fake call to the thief expressing interest in buying the guitar. When I went to meet the thief, CPD busted him. I got my guitar back that night, thanked the CPD and went home. I still have that guitar. So don't give up, keep inquiring, find the documents, and trust the police will come through. Best of luck.

And why isnt the original purchaser taking it now? Same guitar, just with a few miles on it now, right?

I am the "original" purchaser. After two month of worries, when Keith and I had the proof the black LIII never left the US, then got stolen on his porch, he offered me wether to purchase a new one, or send the money back.
At that time, the black LIII was still somewhere in bad hands.
I chose the new guitar.
Keith is a very reliable person, as well as a perfect gentleman.
Despite this inbelievable mess and summer drama (and I remain polite...), I'm very glad he recovered the guitar that fast .
On my side, I have more white hair ; I could have been bald !!

I've done biz with Keith and can vouch for him being a stand up guy and very kind. I often email him privately just to get his opinions on things and he's always been the coolest. Can't say enough nice things about him. So glad he got the guitar back!
