I love these negative threads

:D It is actually hurtful, but only to us dreamers who don't own a 20th. Oh, the pain.

My dream 20th: Quilt top, hardtail, piezo, natural headstock. No preference on the rosewood/maple fretboard because I haven't ever owned a maple fretboard axe, so can't pass judgment.

When the 20ths first came out I thought they looked different, yet cool in their own way. I must admit I was a bit taken aback by the reduced chamfer on the horns, but with the maple top and binding I understand why this was done. I drooled over the figured tops & the double-secret mahogany tone block and I knew that these guitars would be a tone monster.

The 20th is hands-down the best sounding guitar I have heard. I didn't buy one for the looks, I bought it for the tone, and it has never let me down. This guitar set a benchmark for EB, and you need to play one to truly understand the magnificence.

Those are indeed nice. But I personally don't like the metal covers. I think the covers would look great on an Axis, but the silhouette I think doesn't go well with these covers.

But that's me...:p

Hey Tim...does it have a quilt with a rosewood neck?

I want to say it was flamey with a maple neck. However, I am going to make a telephone call tomorrow and find out. Then I can tell you all for sure and not be a liarpants.

Something also tells me that there were two there... one was rosewood. I relaly need to call now.

The 20th Ann. Silo and the first JP6 BFR proto sold me on the BFRs. After seeing and hearing them and playing the 20th, man...there was no choice whatsoever. I had to have a BFR.
