Let's sort it out:

the new LE color is black w/gold hardware, available on most models (not SUB, Benji, Sil Bass or Y2D.. and no lefties), and the instrument will have a rosewood fretboard.

the 20th anniversary Silo sounds like a trans-type black finish on a maple top, buttercream inlays, rear-routed electronics.

I had a trans-black flametop Ib@anez.. sold it to PghTopCat. Cool finish. Mine had cream binding. Can't wait to see SLO's take on this scheme.. you KNOW it will be stunning!

So on the Petrucci LE there will be gold hardware and the gold lettering on the black headstock, no pick guard, but what about the control knobs? Are the going to be the gold ones we saw on the bass side or are they going to be the regular JP knobs?

NorM said it sounds just like the 20th Anniversary StingRays were.... the binding is 3ply.

I'm not really sure myself.. it is a little hard to interpret.. it must be what NorM thought.. a binding. Otherwise, it doesn't make sense (to me) to put anything under a maple top...
