Have you always been using the Demeter, or is this just the rig that made it over to Indonesia with you?

The Demeter pre has been in my rack for around 2 years now, replacing a Blue tube preamp. Prior to going pre/power amp I ran a SWR SM400 head. When the old SWR started to have reliability issues I went to a pre/power rig, mainly on a bang for bucks basis, but also because the Demeter is a wonderfully transparent preamp that can also be tweaked to give a luscious warm vintage tube tone.

I played a gig Friday night with this thing, and I had the 4 EQ knobs flat at 12:00; the SR4 EQ was set flat, too. Sounded unreal......gotta love the combination of EBMM & GK!

Right now I use either a Hughes & Kettner 120W guitar amp (...sigh) or play through my studio gear (MOTU Traveler and a pair of Alesis M1 monitors). The bass sounds better through the studio rig..

mine is an swr redhead...the old model...usedwith a henry jr. 4x8...also swr
for bigger venues i use a swr interstellar overdrive(stella)and a carver pm2.0t power amp through a pair of 8x10 cabs(ampeg svt's)

I own (mostly for practicing purposes) an Ibanez SW100 - I used to have a student who worked for Ibanez and was able to buy it REAL cheap. I don't plan on using it forever, but for now, it's completely fine.
