Hi there, will any of you go to a Deep Purple show this or next week?
I´ll be in Stuttgart next Thursday (31.10.2013).
Really looking forward. The setlist looks great - lots of new stuff.

awesome show yesterday! steve played one of his roasted neck protos he got in a few years ago, because No. 1 was send back for refretting again. tommy told me, that it should be the eleventh set of frets now.
not that many guitar changes this evening. only one song with the de-purple burst tremolo guitar, all the other song were played on the hardtail versions. no black burst or solar flare this evening.
had the chance to talk with tommy again, who is such a kindful guy!
sadly no chance to talk with steve after the show, because the band had a two hour drive to the hotel.
maybe next time again. ;)
btw tommy show us your new Y2D!

awesome photos, I saw a video of Steve's solo on YouTube from Dortmund. Roasted neck proto looks very good. Is it a Standard Blue Burst?

yes and no. it´s a Morse Standard with a Roasted Maple Neck, but it´s not a Blueburst. Don´t know which colour it is
In 2010 I could take some good photos at a clinic and last year I got the chance to hold it in my hands :)

Thanks for the answer. The neck looks really good. I'm a bit jealous to see you've got the chance to hold it and meet Tommy. :)

this color looks like "Turquoise Pearl" (they made this color and a finished roasted neck for the JP line for guitar center) or very close to it.

here is a picture of the neck:

and the guitar itself in its case

and the first time used in a live-situation
