I'm curious if anyone has had a chance yet to play one of the new Axis Super Sport Semi Hollowbody guitars? I own an Axis SS and love that guitar to death and I'm now jonesing for one of the new semi hollowbodies! I wonder what the tonal differences are between the solid A.S.S. and the hollowbody?

Yeah - i've played a few of 'em while at NAMM...

they are just incredible guitars - who would've guessed :)

The have a really great tonal quality by being the semi-hallow body that the other Axis don't have - i felt that the hallow body had a bit more depth to it - it was certainly different than your standard Axis SS.

woo-hoo...if you go to the music man guitar page, you can see they added a ton of colors to choose from.

Dear Lord, this is not helping me be a good boy and stay on budget! The flames of G.A.S. have now been fanned for me for an Axis SS Semi Hollowbody!!

They're way cool. It's kind of like an out of body experience for an Axis player. It feels like the guitar is floating there. I couldn't really get a feel for how it sounded though. It's tough on the headphone amps.
