Wow...is that an actual guitar or a photoshop ? That combination is just stunning

its an actual guitar.
you can see JP playing it at the Score 20th anniv DVD if im not mistaken..
i think he played Spirits Carries On with that Guitar
with a very soulful solo at the beginning with JR

That combination is just stunning

Couldn't have put it better myself!:D

My favourite guitar to play = JP6.
My favourite guitar to look at = LP Standard Sunburst.

This one = Best of all worlds.

I post that picture every now and again whenever appropriate in a current thread and it always draws loads of very positive reactions.

I currently have 6 JP6s, a total that I think will stay constant unless this one becomes available when my total will rise to 8.

One to play and one to keep in a glass case on the wall.;)

i would order one as well. i felt in love with this guitar the first time a saw it.
it would be a cool 10th anniversary, maybe with an update on the lower horn just like on the BFR model and add an all rosewood neck to it.
BP please no finished neck on the 10th!

All this speculation is great fun. I think, though, we gotta remember that the guitar is going to be what JP wants. No begging or pleading from us for what we want is going to influence the final design.

Absolutely. I don't for one second imagine that this would be the 10th anniversary JP but it would be great if it was offered as a limited edition, limited run kind of thing at some point.

Could be nice and simple?

No options - All exactly the same as the Score guitar - Limited period order window - When they're gone, they're gone.

what was BP saying about special runs? does someone remember correctly?
i thought it was something like "get 10 people together and i´ll do a special for you knuckleheads" but i don´t know the amount of orders he needs to do something special.

Did JP use the 20th pickups in this guitar on Score or was there a D-sonic somehow hidden uderneath those cover? if thats even possible?
If I remember correctly it was all 20th Silo electronics etc put into a very lovely JP body.

I'm still holding out for a limited run reproduction of this guitar. It is without question (to me anyway), the most desirable Music Man ever.

I seem to recall that it was JP electronics and pickups... I'm not sure though. The prototype BFR (then F1) that he used on Systematic Chaos had the covers and the D-Sonic.

Limited run of that guitar...? It's the BFR. LOL That guitar was the nucleus of it.

A BFR shape, with a Roasted Maple Neck and a new colour of flip flop finish to celebrate Mystic Dream, plus new bicep shaped inlays?

I love these threads!

The proto used on Score didn't have the D-Sonic. Its not possible to put a metal cover over a pickup with a rail or bar. That guitar had the Virtual PAF's in it. The proto used for SC is what became the BFR minus the binding and pickup rings.
