See? I told you guys about how long it would be.

And look how long poor Chuck has been waiting!

Also, keep in mind that I wanted to order one in January of 2003 but no one could do it....I finally got it in November of 2003.

So everyone remain calm, have a martini, play the fabulous instruments you already have and we'll get there soon enough.

Congratulations, Chuck...our long national nightmare is at an end.

Now, just to refresh everyone's memory, last fall you posted a delivery date contest in which the person who guessed closest would have the privilege of dictating how you will pose for the obligatory photo with your new bass.

Here be the thread:

So,

WHO WON?

(I think it was Mahlon, who guessed mid-December.)

Yeah, but yours is *natural*. Takes an entire growing season, plus harvesting, drying, and finishing.

golem

you forgot to tell him about the manditory ash quaranteen, followed by reacclimation period, and then the rehydration...these all take time with a natural. Dont worry bigballz if someone doesn't screw it up it shouldn't be more than a year. If some one scratches it we have to start over. Hopefully we can avoid the radial tuning the second time around

"Are you serious?"

Okay, you realize that every time you guys talk this trash, including 'rehydration' and 'quarantine', I get a desperate, frenzied email from BigBallz.

*giggling*
