Well, just thought I'd give an update on my tribute after a week. All i can say is...I LOVE THIS THING! I can't put the freaking thing down. At first I was hesitant to take it out bc of how nice it is, but once it came out for the first time it was all over. The last couple guitars I've bought have been evh's and I do play them but not as much bc of the "collectability factor." Even more so with my pink evh( so glad I didnt make the mistake of selling her, can't wait to get it back in 3 weeks :()
Anyways, I haven't bought a brand new guitar in a long time( I dont count the first green tribute i had bc it went right back) and it was really easy to bond with this baby. I usually buy used guitars bc you can haggle the prices but I must say, It is an amazing feeling to be able to break your own guitar in. The axis/evh is pretty much the only style guitar I will ever need. looking forward to adding more to my collection.
The only problem I've had so far is I wwent to relieve the neck a bit and I can't move the truss nut at all. I just don't want to force it and damage something so I have left it where it is, When I go to pick up Pinky I'll bring it with me and have Noll adjust it for me. Thanks MM, I love all that you do!

I have a lot of trouble with new guitars lest I be the one that contributes to the deterioration of their immaculate condition. I know, they are supposed to be played but I still have a problem with it. I've even received used collectible guitars in dead mint condition that I had to sell because they were in such superb shape. I did buy a few Axis Tributes to play just because Axises are so great. It's tough to play those first few notes on a new guitar but after an hour or two the cherry is popped and you realize why you got them. My phobia is partially cured but I do have a couple of backup case queen Pinks just in case I have an anxiety attack. ;)

I am glad you are enjoying it!!!!! Is the action...too low ...or too high??? If it is too high.....move the truss downward toward the floor if you were wearing it.......If it's to low......move it in an upward position toward the ceiling......Don't be scared ......I adjusted all three of my new ones.....They kick ass now!!! Keep on Rocking!!!

I sold an amazing blue evh to islandboy to bring home my first run green tribute. I had been searching for a green axis for over a year at that point and when they announceed the tribute line my impatience got the best of me. When it arrived, i was haveing extreme sellers reemorse and nit picked every flaw on it, so it went back

fair enough. tell me, what do the green tributes look like in natural light?
pics taken with flash look like grass green. I imagine they are darker in reality.

Has anyone else noticed an insane 3d prism effect on their tributes? I just cleaned mine and caught myself staring into the quilt because of how 3d it looked. Ive seen plenty of quilts in my day and this is just tremendous. Wish I could get a picture of it. I saw a few other tributes and my first green didnt do it.

Dude,
After 7 months, my purple still has the bar code decals on the back. I know what you mean about " not wanting to take it out". I also know what you mean about " not being able to put them down".:):):)
