Axis Without Matching Headstocks

Unfortunately, the SS or Sport aren't available with that control option.

There is someone that had a tech switch out their controls. The tech changed out the 5-way for a 3-way, and filled in two of the control pots.

That was me! I have an ASS with a 3 way and a single volume. Much more sensible!

haha! well, it was all beat to poo from chucking in the back of the truck hauling it around to gigs. the tolex was practically hanging off of it by a thread. after my dad making fun of it so much, i finally decided to recover it., I was going to get yellow tolex but couldnt find any so i just recovered in black and sprayed er on. Anyway to make a long story short, i was looking to be different. Although the bass player in one of the bands i play in makes horrible fun of it. I still think it looks cool!.............sorry for the long winded answer haha

Dude, that is one sic top! Very unique! Let's see more pics of that one! BTW, you've all convinced me to get an Axis without a matching headstock! Now if I can just get MusicMan to build me the standard Axis with a vintage trem...

It will probably be easier and more productive just to do it after purchase.
Disable the tone pot and change the switch to be more like a tele with only 3 positions but same physical dimensions of a 5 way. tada.
