I prefer the sound of Fender basses with the normal bridge. I want a Jazz Bass to sound like a Jazz Bass, and a P Bass to sound like a P Bass.

I'd like to see the results of a blind test between the stock bridge and the BA bridge. I'm guessing ain't one of us could do better than guesswork.

In any case, what everyone else said. Leave the MM bridge alone. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, and it does it very well, indeed.

IMO, Ibanez=CRAP

I have zero experience with the current Ibanez range, but I own several mighty fine Ibanez and Grecos (made in the same factory). For example, my '74 Ibanez lawsuit jazz bass is as good as anything Fender has made in the past 30 years.

Right now I'm stuck with an Ibanez SR300DX, which is the first bass I ever played and property of my church. I'm "borrowing" it. Yes. Huhuhuhu...

Anyway, it definitely isn't no MusicMan, but it has its own merits, I believe. I can get some varied, nice, and useful tones that I wasn't able to get before from my ESP B205, which has now left the nest. I'm actually waiting for my Bongo to arrive, which I bought from our friendly and patient MM dealer, Doug, but I've got to pratice for an up-coming "gig" sort of thing and this bass is the only one I can get.

Again, it's not bad enough to be flamed to a crisp. Then again, I've had only limited experience with the mid to high-end basses. :p
