I've been waiting for these basses for years!! This is the BEST news out of SLO ever. And top it off w/Fiesta Red and Sonic Blue?! I bought a strat and P-Bass to have those colors!!!! I want the Sonic Blue . . .and a vintage burst . . .and maybe even a pink one for my little girl:D

Great, Great news!!! Well Done!

Hi Bill - nice basses!

Just over a decade ago I became a fan of the EBMM Stingray. It took me until last April to afford and acquire the wife's blessing to obtain my SR5. Once the Stingray was in my possession I thought my life was complete, then I went to the MM website and found the Bongo 6, then the 25th Anniversary Stingray, then the Big-Al, and now these vintage Stingrays!! Good grief! Please stop Big Poppa or I think I may actually explode from all the G.A.S. (Gear Acquisition Syndrome)

Hopefully the planets will align again soon (probably not for a couple years :(), I just have no idea which of these to order next:

Bongo 6 HSp Candy Red
Big-Al of Undetermined Color
25th Anniversary SR5 Flame
Classic SR Sonic Blue

I worry I have the same affliction...hopefully I will be satisfied with my Sterling and a Bongo in the near future (cross fingers). But probably not.

Why not make it easy and just purchase the 2 colors released per quarter? :D I'm sure any wife would understand that reasoning once they see the pictures of the basses. :p

Don, last night I got in trouble for buying colored christmas lights (opposed to clear lights) - just letting you know what I'm working with here . . .

I don't think she can see the beauty in sonic blue or surf green with figured maple and foam mutes.

Perhaps if you told her that the lights were for the "Corporate World" and they were "Holiday Lights", then you wouldn't have gotten in trouble. ;)
She may have said "You are so PC. Go get all of those basses you want." Once they arrived, she then would see their beauty. :D

Glad I thinned my collection this year -I haven't been this excited since the 05 Buttercreams . . .

Why would anyone want more than one bass?

I know, right? I could be very happy with a primary and backup of these and be done with it!! BUT I just got a song list yesterday that means I will have to have another 5 so I bought a SR5 HH in Natural/Maple today...I don't know if I will still be getting another classic or not but I certainly hope so!

Peace,

T
