Good luck finding a product where 100% of components are US made. I'd say you have no chance at all in this age of globalised manufacturing. Even "American-made" cars have many parts sourced from overseas factories.
Quite right sir. Everything is a soupcon of parts sourced from various vendors these days, and of course that changes over time as well. Music Man is a great example of an American made tool IMHO. It is made in California by Americans, who from what I've been able to gather are compensated pretty well for their labor, and are proud of what they produce. Same goes for Mesa/ Boogie. Both product lines contain components made elsewhere, but the design, assembly etc. are perforned here in the states. Sorry if this comes off as sounding jingoistic, but I'd rather have what little discretionary income I have at my disposal go to help my neighbours raise their kids.

I'm sure it does seem funny to many. Like I said, you can call me a jackass or any other name you care to. I like to support my neighbours. I am proud to be an American, and I am proud of what this country is still capable of producing. I am well aware that none of us is cable of living in a bubble, and that we are more interconnected than ever, and I love that. I love that about this forum as well. But in this day and age the amount of well constructed domestic tools shrinks more and more each day, and I choose to use what little that is left that is made by the man and woman that live in my neck of the woods...

Ok. All fine. I won´t go into this discussion here on this forum. USA is great. I won´t call you a jackass. I use LOTS of US made stuff too.

Has anyone used an Aguilar 412 cab? If so what do you think of it? Right now I have a Markbass 106 that I use with a Little Mark tube 800. I was just wondering what the Aguilar cab has that I may be missing if anything.

Thanks

I'm a MarkBass fanatic (fun to finally hear how the bass itself sounds, no coloring) but if I would check out other brands/amps, I would take a look at the GK Fusion.

I've had GK stuff in the past and wasn't very pleased with it. The Neo 212 cab was ok but the 410 I had was an 800watt cab that counldn't handle much. Really disappointed me so I sold all of it. I have tried the Fusion and honestly it was just ok to me.:(

I'm with you, in that I'm tired of hauling around heavy-ass gear. I have a GK MB210 combo that weighs 23 pounds that I use for rehearsal and small venues. I have several GK Neo cabs (212, 410, 115), all comparitively light, that I use in various combinations depending on the size of the venue. For medium size rooms, I generally use the 212.

IMHO: The one thing I find is that in a larger venue situation, the class D "switching amps" don't have the current reserve that really low frequencies demand. I have a GK 1001RB2 that use with the larger cabs for those purposes. I swear this thing will melt a nail. :)

Right now I'm using a GB ShuttleMax 9.2 and I'm thinking of getting a Streamliner 600 to compliment it. I have an Avatar 2x10 that just rocks (it does a B string, oh boy does it do a B string!) that I'm considering replacing with a pair of the new DNA 12s, an Avatar 2x12, or the Uberquad. I really am impressed with the sounds from all of the 12" cabs. I'm just trying to get down to lightweight, portable, and modular.

But I'm a Genz guy at heart. The weight, sound, and versitility are what sold me. Wattage and headroom was icing on the cake.

Just picked me up an uber Quad. Not exactly "light" or "portable", but if its relative to an 8X10, then, yeah, its light and portable.

I've been using a GS412 cab for a couple of years now and think its the best all around cab I've owned so far, and i have had a bunch. The downside, it's still lighter than say an Ampeg fridge and fairly easy to maneuver but still 116lbs.

I just downsized (in my older age) and purchased my first Markbass, its a CMD 102P combo and light at just 44lbs.It should
cover most small gigs i might do, i can add my 15 extension cab, and or i go direct.
