"Forget the copies by 'OLP' and 'Vintage', and iginore the cheaper entry-level Ernie Ball range of 'Sterling', 'SUB' or 'Bongo' basses, all of which are de-featured wannabees using cheaply-finished plywood or passive electrics. There's only one bass that sounds like a Stingray, and that's an Ernie-Ball Music Man 'Stingray'!"

Yeah, you Bongo players should really get with the times, and stop playing your cheap plywood defeatured wannabe basses and get yourselves something more modern... like a Stingray!

Ah, but you forgot to mention the finish and pickguard...

A rare chance to own a genuine 'Ernie Ball' Musicman Stingray 5 (Five-string) bass guitar, finished in custom-shop 'Silver-sparkle', with upgraded black pearloid scratchplate (a £45 option, also fitted by the factory) and maple neck, fretboard, and headstock. The case shown IS included in this auction.

You won't find the Silver-Sparkle finish on the Ernie-ball website - it's a rarely-seen £180.00 upgrade option!

It's a nice bass, but you kind of wonder what else he's being dishonest about, don't you?

Guy's a dickhead.

How could you post that Ad, knowing that there might be one or two people out there who actually know that it's a load of BS?

He's obviously hoping to snag some fool with more money than brains....

Yep, I don't get it either.

What a way to reduce the value of your bass, eh?

I really dig the vintage vibe of my Bongos, and the cheap plywood makes it a good tic-tac bass too. As for entry-level, well, my playing is right there in the middle of the entrance:D

A few years ago, there was a little-known government program to provide imbeciles with computers and internet connections.

I remember it well. That was when my friend had the contract to wire the White House.
