I purchased a used Ernie Ball Majesty 7-string (the John Petrucci glacier frost one). I have a guitar stand for it but I have noticed it is too small at the base to fit on the stand. So, it tends to hang by its neck (which I don’t want it to be doing).

I was wondering what is the best guitar stand to use for this guitar? Thanks!

Hercules for me as well. Been using for a long time, with many guitars and basses with zero ill effect from hanging from the headstock. The only downside I have found is that some non-symmetrical headstock shapes may not sit in the yoke as nicely as others. And some, like a Parker Fly, won't work at all.

I've used nearly all of the aforementioned stands but currently use the D&A Starfish+ stands ever since my pets accidentally knocked over one of my balls on a regular tripod stand (thankfully it was on carpet). The D&A stand has 5 legs and really does feel much more stable than the others. Not a huge fan of the flimsy plastic "safety gate" but the rest is solid and I have had zero issues with my guitar finishes resting on it.

... Also, I'm not worried about it hanging by the headstock and you shouldn't be either (the topic of hanging guitars and the negligible effects of the weigh+gravity on the necks has been beaten to death)
