A early Stingray 5 that I bought used and totally renovated in the early 90´s since it was in such a bad shape. Sold it some 10 years later and found it again last year so it´s now in my care again..... :)

Interesting use of the mini guard over the electronics cavity. Did you have that made custom? Also how did you stain the neck and fretboard?

The pick guard is actually the original pick guard that I slaughtered myself. :)

Some fine-grained sand paper on the neck and fretboard and then I just used red stain. Don´t remember if I used a brush or a sponge. Long time ago. 20 years. And then lacquer on top of that. That bass sounds great. Lovely tone. I tuned her like the bass strings on a Chapman Stick when I had her. Low D where the G-string usually is and then ascending 5th...... Made a new saddle and tuned her like a regular 5-string when I sold her and that how she´s set up now.
