So I've decided to go ahead and buy a brand new EBMM Axis. I'm curious though, should I go to my local dealer or order online from Sweetwater or somewhere similar? What are your experiences with this?
Allen,
I like all that edhalen is saying - one thing I'll add is: if you're buying a guitar with any kind of "finish" to it other than a solid color that you get a good HARD look at the actual guitar and not just order blindly from anywhere.
I have a couple guitars I've picked up over the years that I've seen some striking examples of their wood grain possibilities and I have "plain jane" models. No, doesn't make them sound different, but my plain jane's cost the same money as the striking examples and wish I had looked at the exact guitars before committing...

Well it seems the planets aligned and I was lucky enough that my local shop got in a used 10/10 dead mint 2011 Axis. I put my 25% down on it and will be paying it off over the next couple months. It was pricey but it is absolutely perfect and it was great to buy local and the shop is right across the parking lot from my office. Plus with it being 30 seconds away from my office I can play it anytime until it's paid off.
As soon as I get some pics I will post them. SOOOOOOOO Excited!!!!!!
You can also give reverb.com a look as well, that's where I got this gorgeous axis. And yeah, I need to do a NGD post!

Nice pic! What camera you used? If you used your phone, how did you get the background to blur?
You're right Kevin, but I'm going to try to hold off until I have another payment ready. Actually I'm over in Edwardsville, IL. I've been in Danville a few times. I believe X-Krush is from that neck of the woods aren't they?
