OK the BFR thing is a chance to give you guys a chance to get stuff that artist 's would
on ly have a chance to get.

I wrote the blurb for the flyers and I dont have one here...(not at show yet)

It celebrates that we are dumb enough to be a dying breed of companies that make American guitars in America..what a concept....It recognises that this is a family business and not a publically traded company. BFR allows us to create "heritage" pieces. One forumite was fearful of us going upmarket but why wouldnt we offer exotic fresh stuf if we have the talent and demand?

BP I am just waiting for you to let me know how to get a single H one. I will try and be patient, but the suspense is killing me. That is one awesome bass in my favorite color!

I love what you are doing, don't change a thing!

I'm no saint, but there was no need to show a Rondo, Asian-made geetard here. No need.

adouglas, i get what your saying, but i think there is a difference between what the EBMM guys have produced here in terms of this quilted maple top and that one you showed from Rondo music. People recognise quality (usually by the price tag :p ) and to me the quality on the 20th BFR is in a whole other universe to the one you showed.

Remember that this is just the beginning fo the BFR's we are seeing. I would assume BP has enough of a business mind to not make every single BFR with a quilted maple top, so i dont think there is a huge problem with them making a few. And why not, they look beautiful, and just because they have been 'done before' doesnt mean that they cant be done again now to the extremely high quality that you see.

So fret not, because this is just the beginning of a range that is aiming as BP said to give to us regular worker ants what the artists usually only get and i beleive we're only seeing the beginning.

So lets all get back to oogling this puppy

You are crawling too deep into the BFR deal and really you should not post pictures of a 160 dollar guitar to make your point or carvins like you did in other posts. It is hard to understand why you would post those to try and beat your point in the ground. It is really not very thoughtful to say the least.

Save your deep thinking for when and if I stop making cool opaque guitars and basses.
Rolls royces and Kia's have leather interior too...

In order to continue to be able to create revenue to pay the bills and give craftspeople a better life we have to have many legs to stand on.

I will not respond to any more in this thread and please dont take it to another.

It didn't affect us BP. I bought one of those Rondo basses awhile back. I was trying to learn the bass.

Keep the kids away from cheap copies because they need to see the world at its best.

I hope you and your Bongo got the gig adouglas.

Now figure out how to steer the kids in the right direction

Okay, cleanup done. I tried to be as clear as I could and I sincerely hope I got my point across to those who read the posts.

BP, by this time you should know that I've got nothing but praise for you and your endeavors. I'm going to extra lengths to support you. I'm putting my money where my mouth is. How many people do that?

BFR and 20th, all that EBMM is doing in this arena, BIG THUMBS UP!!!!!!!!!!

BUT there is room for discussion in a free society, right?

I fully understand that this is a factory-sponsored forum and if I were slamming EBMM in any way then I would certainly deserve ridicule or censure, but I wasn't. No kidding, for those who didn't see or read the posts.

Deleted anyway, in the spirit of good manners.

Now, WHERE ARE THE PICS FROM NAMM?!!!???!!!???????

Note for codemonkey:

You have to use "advanced" mode to actually delete messages. The "Delete" button that you get on the basic screen when you hit "Edit" doesn't work.

If you don't hang on the B string too much you don't need the delete button.

I have used it plenty myself but just saying.

NOt the free society blabber again....

I have no problem with you having concern about the abundance of maple...just dont compare us to rondo or carvin. I also am allergic to posts of photos competing products. It would be like telling an italian chef that he shouldnt use tomato sauce because domino's does.

If you dont like figured maple great..........if you like opaque your in business! WE get to make both!

*sigh*.

Not one of the 37 POSITIVE things I said get any credit. We all see what we want to see, I guess.

I removed everything I said immediately, apologized for any unintended offense, and after all that you're still hitting me. After you said you'd drop the thread.

Please don't put words in my mouth. I'm as allergic to that as you are to photos of the competition.

I did NOT compare you to those other guys. Nor did I say that I don't like figured maple. Nor did I in any way suggest what you should or should not do. Just the opposite.

How many times, and in how many ways, do I have to say that I'm on your side?

Please end this.

Thanks.

Do not apologize with an ending of advice or it will always be that way.

Look at the code monkey reference to the delete button.
