BFR Question

My other BFR guitars all say #x of 55 or whatever and correspond with what is on the BFR page.. I have acquired another BFR but its certificate says #x of 3 built 11/5/19 and I cant find an BFRs online that were only 3.

Anyone able to shed any light on this?

Nope, that's what I mean.. I checked all of them and none are for a run of 3 units and none are the Axis in Rosewood/Curly Maple

What's the BFR run called? Can you describe it?

I ran the SN and (see attached) but none of the links on the BFR page indicate anything like it.

I am very curious as I am proud of my guitars and this one has a unique pedigree if the 1 of 3 is proven to be accurate.

According to the EBMM s/n database, it has a build code of 300-92-R1-00-CS-CR.

300 means Axis, 00 means no pickguard, CS means w/ case, CR means chrome hardware. 92 is the color, and R1 is the neck. According to the database, R1 appears to correspond to a roasted figured maple neck & fretboard.

Anyone know what color corresponded to 92?

I did a little more sleuthing (namely, I just searched Google on the build code), and found it!

Limited run of 3 Includes certificate of authenticity Rosewood top Satin finish

According to the link, it was indeed a limited run of 3. (Doesn't appear to be a BFR, though.)

If it is a limited run of three then it most certainly is A BFR even if it was not marketed that way.

That's kinda what I'm thinking, and this being the first of the three.. it's one of a thrice of a kind so that's BFR material in my book. lol.

Interesting, they sent your CoA in a BFR envelope, but the CoA doesn't list it as one. My two EBMMs are BFRs, both of their CoAs say it's a BFR model.

To be sure, though, 1 out of 3 is a rarity indeed, whether it's explicitly labeled BFR or not!
