Smallmouth are you snorting Tim Hortons? Why on gods green earth would you bet an exotic piec e of rosewood and put a maple cap on it.....

Maybe! :)

Just for the colour contrast, I guess. It seems like an odd combo since everyone is used to seeing rosewood on maple and not the other way around. You knew someone was going to mention it, why not me?! ;)

The first model (in the photo) without the pickguard. What is it? And can one order a Sterling HS without a pickguard? I'm thinking natural would be stunning.

I believe that's an actual BFR model (Ball Family Reserve). They include fancy tops and rear mounted electronics.
BFR Picture Thread

I do not think you can order the regular models without pickguards.

hmmm, i always told myself that i would love a bongo with a non-matching headstock. I still remember that old red bongo with a back headstock.

Bongo 5 olive green, black pg, all rosewood neck.....that could be awesome. now what pickups? :)

I didn't notice this before, but I just looked back at the ad on the first page of this thread and realized that the order window on the rosewood necks is only going to be open for a month. Hmmm.

I'm going to have to sell something to see if I can make this work. Anybody looking for a stealth?

I may be interested in ordering a Sterling 4 HS tobbacco burst but I have a couple of question about this option:

1- Is the lettering on the headstock will be white or gold?
2- How much will be the upcharge? (a reply in private if not allowed on the forums)
3- what will be the code for the option?

Thanks!

Hi Scraggy, can't help you much with your questions but if you decide to get it, consider musique Victor in St-Hyacinthe, i just ordered my bongo with BFR rosewood there and they are a pleasure to deal with. It's my second EBMM i get from them.

i really think those BFR necks are a cool compromise between a full blown BFR or a anniversary/limited edition. i really like how subtle it will look :)
