If I'm not 100% knocked on my buttocks by the Bongo I have on the way I'll send it back and order an HH Sterling..in transparent orange...with white pearloid PG....and birdseye neck....and matching headstock.

Mmmmmm...drooooooool.

Big Poppa question.

is the neck humbucker on the HH or HS stingrays going to be in a different position to compensate?

The wife walked in on me while I was reading this post... first words out of her mouth: "Where are the credit cards?" followed by "You have that look... don't get any ideas," followed lastly by "Tell them (meaning BP and the EBMM staff) to quit putting bad ideas inside your head." - seriously :D

Are we married to the same woman?

Here is something that has yet been asked: What about controls? Are we going to see an added switch? A pickup blend?

Oh! H/SC with piezos

I'm still happy with the HH Bongo and won't (and can't afford) buying one of those new models. But I'm happy for all of you, that were asking and waiting for HH or HS Rays and sterlings, and I'm very impatient to see what they're gonna look and sound like !

Great news. I can't imagine the deeper tones coming out of a neck-position pickup---wow! The sound possibilities are even more endless.

I see a Sterling HH in my future.

HOLY SHNIKES.
the only problem i have is the price. a new HS sterling would rule so hard. but the fact is i can get a bongo for cheaper then the new stearling probably, am I right? well for once i have to say it.

these basses

rule harder than mine:(

they should bring back the walnut finish, that finish rules ass.

Wow, this forum is dangerous. I was certainly a gear fanatic before I started posting here just over a year but now I'm a gear whore with a habbit. I get a bass, after a couple weeks, I start the plans to aquire a new one. "Well if I sell my kidney and all this change on my dresser I can afford that new bass"

*calm down and step away from the computer*

Hmm, I'm wondering if theyre going to finish the site update with the new intstruments, or without them? I'm also wondering if they're still going to be called they're respective names, or if they get new names?

I would think they would retain their names. After all a Bongo is a Bongo is a Bongo, no matter the pickup configuration.

My curiosity has me wondering if the SR5 HH will have an 18volt preamp.
I do recall seeing a Levin foto closeup of a newer peach SR5 with chrome knobs and what looked like a Bongo pickup (with the thumb rest on the edge). during the 2003 PG tour. If this was an illusion, please correct me.

Gaddam why'd you have to do this?!?! Just months after I got my Bongo 4HH. I bet that SR 4HH is sweeeeeeet. I was saving up for a 2x10 cab and a P-bass, but now.... Holy sweet crap.
