How about a Death-Ray? (to implement Lord Bongo's plan of world domination)

Quanda-Ray? (for the indecisive)

Monaster-Ray? (for forum lurkers who have taken a vow of silence)

Sala-Ray? (for the unemployed musicians)

Topia-Ray? (for El Jardinero, or those who like Chia pets)

Archer-Ray? (a whole new design, shaped like an arrow)

Brewer-Ray? (for the alcoholically inclined, or students of zymurgy)

Winer-Ray? (for the Napa-going set)

Distiller-Ray? (for the martini afficionados)

OK, I'm done now unless someone provokes me. ;)

I can't believe you left out "Everybody loves Ray".
Now that I think about it I do realise why it was left out.

Cheers,
Colin

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Sterling is hinting 12 new models. Wouldn't fretless, extra pickups, different electronics, etc be considered options? Hmm?

I was thinking the same thing.

Look people are already let down if the new basses are two pickup models.....thats a surprise!

I think that what we going to show is basses with some great new tonal possibilities...

Question............

Is world peace easier than meeting some of the forumites expectations?

More pups, more pups. YES!!! Musicman rocks. Now it just NEEDS to be put on a sterling :) SCH, HH whatever. That would be an amazing bass... Gives the nice small neck and the wicked sound..... I cant wait.

I must say, I do have great expectations, but from an innovative company like this, you need big expectations.

Some of you don't know that there even IS a guitar forum here, so I copy forthwith:

"Hey Guys!
I initially asked if you guys would like to come to the open house. Thanks for the enthusiasm.I am now reading posts wanting free airfare, free guitars, and design authority..If someone invites you to their house for the weekend do you plan the meals and activities, or allow them to be the host. Relax, we are going to spend a ton of money, time, and effort to treat you right.

Heres what we are doing now.

1. Trying to pin down a date in late August/early Sept. when the most artists will be available
2.When that date is identified we will work with the San Luis Visitors Association to get their help in putting together suitable hotel packages. San Luis is an active tourist destination so it will be a challenge. Based on initial response one hotel isnt going to cut it. I am trying to get a few hotels at different price points to accomodate as many budgets as possible.

3. If we determine that there are enough wives/girlfriends /signifigant others we will arrange for some shopping and wine tasting excursions for them.

4. Minors will be invited provide their parents sign a release or accompany them.

5. be patient....we are trying to make design and sell guitars and plan what could be an international open house...we are also in the middle of the 10,000 band Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, Emergenza, Warped Tour, NAMM indy, Miac Canada...new websites ...etc

6. we will be sending and email blast when the final details ore arranged.

thats all for now

BP"

Sterling, these bassists are all insane. Make some basses, we'll buy them. Or, if they don't, I bloody well will.

Wife says the trip sounds good, especially if Beth takes her shopping - go figure.

Yes, by a wide margin. ;)

Take solace in the fact that you could build some of these forumites the exact instrument that they want, and two weeks later they'd want something else.

And we'd have your house to ourselves?

Call the hookers! Tell Dargin to bring the Martini Olive Green Bongo over so I can just, um, look at it, yeah, I just want to look at it.

I consider Dargin a friend, so I would not be party to this theft you are planning. I do however, like the hooker idea :D

Theft? Would I do such a thing? I am not that sort of person, Jon! Heavens, what you must think of me!

I would just like to SEE the poor thing and compliment the owner on his obvious good taste and fortune!

Oh and just curious, is it true he has a glass jaw? Just wondering.

Could you ask around? Again, just curious.

Does he pass out drunk pretty easily?

Not that information like this would be useful.

(Just kidding, Scott. I don't even want that stinky old thing any more.)

(Nor do I want it any less.)

Jon,

I will make every effort to be there once the details have been reckoned. It would be worth the trip just to hang out with you and Jack.

Meanwhile, I'll have to build up my endurance for martini's and tequila.. I have a few months. ;) Bring on the guitars and the libations!

Looks like Jack and I will be sucking up to the womenfolk for the next few months!

I'm hoping it all works out on your end and mine, Steebo.

Even if all the other stuff wasn't in the works, it would be hellishly fun to hang with you and Jon and play Mustang Sally over and over and over.
