That made me laugh! We're such geeks about this stuff, aren't we? I'm sure I should find a way to be ashamed, but ..... I'm not.

I, for one, appreciate the torture.

And I have to admit it - I also love the reaction here on the forums.

I hoist a very cold martini in your honor, BP.

I represent this thread in picture form:

Okay, so I represented Big Poppa with a hot mom with her two underaged daughters, but you get the idea.

Throw us crumbs, and we are happy. :D

Im sorry that some of you are bummed out. But would you prefer no heads up?

A new hint.....You will not see any form of bongo pickups of preamps in any of the new models

A-HA!!!!

A new product line altogether... passive basses from EBMM!!!!!!!

Did I get it? Huh? Huh? Hmm? ;)

Maybe I'll get a Scooby Snack?

I would venture to guess that a passive line will be available as that has been done for an artist already.

Maybe a Tony Levin signature 3 string?

Maybe a Bovine signature Bongo?

Maybe a 2 pickup like we have seen here already?
Maybe a reintro of old 26?

Maybe 6 string SUB's?

The fun is in the guessing IMHO.

Yeah, we could call it the martini-bass, or keep it simple, Bongo :D

I'm guessing on low budget model, something with 2 PU's that doesn't looks like a Bongo, and hopefully, one total new concept

I hope one is a Sabre re-issue or a 2 pup/2 band Stingray.
And something completely new would be wicked awesome.

I am not one to tell EB or BP how to run their business, but I think coil taps and single coil options would be a good move. I don't mean to compare EB to others, but the 'new' wave

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Sterling is hinting 12 new models. Wouldn't fretless, extra pickups, different electronics, etc be considered options? Hmm?
