WOW. I saw BP's initial teaser in the other thread, and have been on the edge of my seat. I've been out & about with my wife all day today, and couldn't wait to get home to see if BP had let the cat out of the bag yet. Never saw THIS one comin, though! How cool is THIS?! LOVE those bridges, and have never owned a 2 band. And that SFG is perfect and so delicious.

Well Brandt, this most likely changes the order I was about to put in (PM sent with some further questions, as soon as the info's available).

I commend and thank you for being open to this, BP!!

Very nice. The seafoam looks awesome. Burgundy mist, dakota red or sonic blue would also look gorgeous. Good to see that rosewood boards are an option on these "reissues".

Umm, I'd like to speak up for many of the Bongoloids here and say the real torture was when this picture showed up (thanks Wazoo, you're alright with me). We know it's not going to happen but.... (I dare you to make me buy another Bongo after buying two DD2's this year)....... Double dare ya!

They look fantastic and really strike a balance with all the great innovative stuff that has come out this year, such as the Big Al and the 25th. Seafoam Green... yeah! In fact, if you could make them under 9lbs, I'll buy one in every colour... 1.5" nut option would be sweet as well!

Well a reissue would have a 3-bolt neck, and I don't think ANYBODY really wants to go there!

Funny, I don't remember the slab body. That will be different, no room for my beer gut. The mutes are cool, I will use that feature with flats for sure. Well, it's been determined that I will have to get a SFG with rosewood and tort. Of that there can be no doubt.

These are some fine looking basses! That natural one especially.

Looking forward to seeing these beauties out in the public.

Is all that stuff a la carte, or does the "old school" 'Ray come as a model whole hog?

Cool colors!

O.M.G. !!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek: After wiping the drool off my keyboard and rolling up my tongue back into my mouth, I will do what I have never in my entire life ever done. Order a bass without ever playing it or seeing it in person. Tell me when. My hat's off to you gentlemen.

Holy cow! Am I dreaming! These are simply spectacular, thank you BP and Scott. :D

I'm diggin the old skool headstock decal too.

I now know what I want, and really badly. One or two of these (especially in seafoam) would look great right along side my oldies.
Man, I can't get over how killer the natural one looks.

Very, very cool! I like it even better because it isn't just a reissue but more like a 'modern classic' and keeping some of the modern elements in it too! damn, I should buy this and sell the real pre-Eb :D

Feel free to shoot me a PM if you're serious about unloading your pre-EB Ray.

Note to self: devise cover story for acquisition of yet another Stingray. "I traded one of the other ones for it. The red one. No, the other red one. The one I got last year. No, the other one. Look, I traded it for another bass, OK? How many pairs of black shoes do you have?"
