I too would be interested to see if there is a fretless version. Ebony would be a nice touch, but in my experience of Pau Ferro I can say that that is a beautiful wood and makes an exquisite fingervoard.

She'd look 100% better if she ate a few cheeseburgers.

That is so not true.

I dreamed about Seafoam Green vs Cream last night, for real. It was quite bizarre, I won't go into it here. Anyway, I realized this morning that even though I'm anguishing over a choice between these 2 colors, nobody ever said these would be the first two, and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna pick from whatever the first two are.

I like all the pics Scott has posted so far. That is one hot piece of ash on that natural beauty.

I see nothing strange in that at all.

These really look great - problem is going to be picking the colour to order - sonic blue/fiesta red are my current preferences

Some more questions:-

1) Can Dargie post some pics of one with the matching headstock - from the BP live ad all of these seem to come with matching headstock
2) Is the finish going to be normal poly or...................nitrocellulose???
3) Any news on the chances of the possible neck upgrade to figured maple which Dargie mentioned?
4) Will these be able to be ordered outside of the US (or anywhere else for that matter) after BP live.
5) Leftie available??

Too many questions I know, but these instruments have really got my interest in buying a 2 band Ray at the major GAS level!! And like many other knuckleheads there's no chance of me getting to BP live.

Frankly, I don't understand the "vintageness" of a matching headstock... I thought they were introduced around 2000?

It's like a mint! Like one of those green mints when you're at the cash register at a restaurant.

You guys made a whole bass out of those mints...didn't you?

BTW, I love that color. A pastel powder blue one in the same vein would be awesome also.

And as a side note...I've never liked matching headstocks on any instrument.
