you can order the basic white or black from eb and the are only $20. Very inexpensive if you just wanted to try something new. I would have to agree with foggy the blk/blk looks killer.

Vintage White Pearl would look good with cream pup covers. I also really like that pic of the Black Silo with a Gold Swirl pickguard.

Good thing I found this thread...so I just scored this Silo from mikeller(forum member) and I plan on changing the pickguard on this baby...I was thinking maybe black pearl? Any suggestions?

If your Silo Special is SSS I'd go with white pickup covers and knobs on the black pickguard...̀a la David Gilmour.

I remembered the EBMM site has a 'build your own' wizard that generates a picture of the guitar you want with the features/options you pick... Try that. I think I'm going with white pearl.

I actually decided to go with plain black...also didn't want to expend the extra $! I think black will mash right in... I will upload pics as soon as I have it swapped. Thanks for everyone's suggestion!

Plain black is cool, but shows pick scratching really easily,,,,I think because they are glossy. I like the flat black Sub 1 pickguards. You could get one of those for a Silo Spec, just ask Chandler (pickguard heaven) if they can make one.
