Question Blocked JP trems: what did you guys use?

I got a JPX as my first 7 string and while it's a fine instrument (though I struggle to find a good setup...), it made me realize just how much I don't get along with floating trems (additionally, most of the 7 strings songs I want to learn are not in standard tuning!).

What did you guys use to block yours off, if you did? I'm not keen on tremol-nos though I do have a spare one. I was thinking of using ye olde method of blocks of wood, or a trem-stopper (Amazon.com: Tremolo Stopper: Musical Instruments).

I have no access to power tools etc... which would allow to build my own, so either way, it'd have to go to the tech which is meh, but unlikely to change.

Why are you not content with the tremol-no? I had one and thought it was perfect. Alternatively though, before I got it, I had a much more crude solution that honestly worked great too. Two stacks of pennies taped together, placed on either side of the trem block. Cost around 12 cents and required no skill or tools...

For over all convenience and ability to easily change your mind, the tremol-no would be my first choice. I really don't see the point in paying a tech to do something else when the spare tremol-no you already have is such a great solution.

I use a Göldo Backbox, to keep it in tune while going down from E to Drop-D with 10-52 Slinkys.

I've always used wood. I'll just cut a block to size and use some double sided tape to keep it there. Cheap and easy. I used old plastic rulers stacked up once ... worked just as well.

I have a piece of wood in my Morse blocking the trem , it has worked perfect.

ESP makes a product called the arming adjuster for 25 bucks. While it won't block your trem completely, it will stabilise it greatly.

Two reasons I'm not huge on the tremol-no (it's a fine product, I'm not questioning this):
1) requires me to remove the original claw, which means:
a) I need to de-solder the ground wire, which can be painfully tight later on some guitars (seems ok on the JPX)
b) the left screw on this guitar's trem claw is already a little damaged, and seems quite soft. I don't want to make it worse (which reminds me, would be good for me to proactively get a replacement! Anyone knows which size screws I need to get?
2) the blocking is done through moveable parts; I never did have a problem with it in the past mind, but I do prefer a more steady solution, such as a https://www.amazon.com/Neck-Check-Guitar-Tremolo-Stopper/dp/B00FUTXO8G/ or similar

That's just me of course! Overall though I LOVE that JPX and once I get her setup properly (I can't seem to not make her buzz on the low B and E string...) and block that trem, I'll play her plenty. Guess I'm just allergic to floating trems...
