Kristopher ftw.

(Having predicted that he's right, he will therefore be dead wrong. Just you watch.)

Heh. Even if it's not true, I'm still looking forward to the Gamechanger. I have a bonus coming in March/April and I've already cleared it with the wife that I'm getting a brand new bass. A game-changin' Reflex HSS looks mighty fine to me!

Now that I think about it, the Earthwood prediction seems like a good bet too.

No matter what, this NAMM is looking pretty exciting!

The Stealth II series will be introduced. They will be absolutely invisible (EBMM will have a patent on the finish). Posting pics of the instruments on forums will be a non event. If you nick, scratch, or otherwise damage your instrument, you won't care because you can't see it. Adjusting to the instrument will be a challenge, but you will suddenly start getting calls for Vegas magic show gigs.

Black will remain a staple color choice for all instruments, except this year it will be even blacker (EBMM patent pending). (For the record, I personally like black. It can be mean or classy...)

Sigue Sigue Sputnik will reunite with all of the original members and will be playing at the EBMM booth. Curiously, they will not be using any EBMM gear. BP will join them for a number or two.

Additionally, the new "Ultra" Classics will be introduced with a zero-band pre-amp. In fact, there will be no knobs or controls at all, just an input jack.

Here are my "fantasy" predictions:

(*) DISCLAIMER: Please take the following with a pinch of salt, it's just for fun!

1) Reflex basses to come out with a Piezo option

2) Limited edition Bongo's and Big Al's to feature the Novax® Fanned-Fret System™ yeah haha :D pigs will fly see (*)

3) Game changer "loaded" pickguard available as retrofit exclusively to Stingray 5's because the controls are all mounted on the pickguard. (The USB port also fitted on the p/guard)

4) Intelligent robotic self adjustment of optimal neck relief / action and intonation where the truss rod and bridge saddles will be programmed to automatically run periodic troubleshoot routines to adjust for weather change, humidity etc. Owners will have a choice of 3 different action levels low, medium, high. (If G*bs*n can do that with the robotic tuning, then why not extend that technology to truss rod and bridge saddles?)

5) (This is the killer) --> Body woods to be covered in microscopic led's to change the colour of your instrument at will, also display pictures carousels and videos, with 1000's of colour tones and schemes available all pre-programmable and downloadable by USB, You can have a different colour every song, or change between song, or set to random / mood morphing. No more discontinued colour issues and BP will sleep happy nights, knowing his guitars will be accepted by the whole world

That's it for now, sleep tight.... ;)

:D :D :D that's a brilliant idea and completely negates all custom shop/sparkle/discon colour issues in one go - one minor problem - you can't mood morph the fingerboard between maple, rosewood, ebony, pau ferro, wenge etc etc etc...........there would definitely be complaints :D
