You know I think this particular design looks better as a 6-string than it does as a 4 or 5. Its somehow perfectly suited for this size of a bass.

So let's respect BP's wishes and keep the questions to ourselves until a later date...no sense in tainting the thinking process here.

+1.

Comments from the peanut gallery are inevitable. BP, methinks, is just trying to keep things from getting out of hand with wild speculation and rumor.

EBMM is going to do what they're going to do. We should just sit back and enjoy the ride. If opinions are wanted, they'll be asked for...after all, that's how the Dargie Delight happened, right?

Damn it looks soo cool with the bevels and lingting:D

I'd have never thunk of the knobs, but now that BP has mentioned it, I see it clearly. Same thing with the wider body, which probably just means that it is a good idea to leave the instrument design to the people in the know :D

the next renderings will have some reflect an adjustment of the knobs Im not happy the radius that is being used now that the body is wider and want to lower them slightly from the pickguard.

Just wanted to say thanks for sharing. This is really cool how you're giving us a sneak peek into the design process.

guys stop it now you are close to ruining this for others. If you dont like the thread go to the next one. A camel is a horse designed by committee. Please let us do our job and in return we will keep you in the loop and include you as a spectator in the creative process.

BP I'll be a good boy. Because Scott said My DARGIE is done!:)

But seriously, I've been wanting a 6 and the only thing holding me back is that.. you don't make one! Anyhoo, my curiousity is really piqued. I'll go back to being the awed observer. Thanks for sharing. I'm sure that the team will get this as close to ergonomic perfection as it can be just like the rest of the line.

... and here's the next one. As BP mentioned, I moved the knobs down to match the body contour, just like the current Bongo family. This also pushed the knobs away from the pickguard and bridge a bit.

oh, and I dressed it in Dargie Green, just for added torture value. Enjoy.

BP, looking forward to seeing these and hearing the story behind it: how the decision to make a Bongo6 came about, why the Bongo as opposed to, say the SR6, etc. Again, thanks for the look. It's so fantastic to see this instrument being created from the beginning.:D

I'm with you Ritchie--I've got something to save for. FWIW, I would probably not go for a SR6, but am really interested in the proposed Bongo 6.

I'm a patient man, and a deferential man...call me Mr. Zen...I await the final product & am happy that BP & crew shared news of this project at such any early stage of development.
