BP... Those who are grateful and appreciative of your efforts and openness are far more numerous than the poo flingers.

E to E makes sense to me...also numb nuts also said that he already had a silo bass, thank you. This will not play feel or sound like a silo bass....That logic means that I should have only one variation of the guitar...

Let me try to answer the order question.

The Bongo 6, according to highly placed inside sources, will be shown at summer NAMM in Austin.

Dealers will be able to order the Bongo 6 at that time, if history teaches us anything (and I'm not so sure it does, given that whole Nixon thing, but I digress).

If dealers place orders, customers can place orders.

Delivery times remain fluid. Be prepared to be flexible or, if not flexible, patient.

This is what I have been told and I have no reason to doubt it, other than this same highly placed source also told me that green basses won't sell and real men play four string basses.

All I can say is.. BP.. thanks for the inside info.. and the ability to watch this process from the begininng. It's been absolutely cool to watch, and I can't wait for the "next episode" as this show continues.

Hopefully the childish imbocilic idiots will refrain from ruining this, and just sit back with a bucket of popcorn and enjoy the show!!

I wonder if we'll ever get paid for "Jerry Nigham's" Dargie Delight. Sure would like to get the last one off my desk since it's been sitting since April 26th.

Hmmmm....
"All your 6 String Bongo bass are belong to us"
Little game humor.
I am glad I made the switch. who would of thought a simple color of bass that I saw on the internet would make me change my ways.

Damn you guys I am a 5 string player then I got a 30th Ann Fretless Sr4 which made me start playing 4 strings again now I might have to jump to 6 strings

I know what you mean. The 30th is the only 4-stringer I own and I'm just getting used to not having that B-string there (my thumb doesn't know what to do when I'm on the E-string!). A Bongo6 sounds like something straight out of a dream though.

Summer NAMM, eh? Good deal. I just ordered my pass... Yippeee.

E-E sounds interesting. I've been thinking of going the opposite direction and tuning my Silo B-C, an octave up from my 6 string bass.

I've also got a Silhouette Bass Guitar that I tune E to E & have to admit that I've thought that a full scale six string bass tuned E to E or E to F would be a cool idea & would be a different beast sonically than a 6 string bass guitar, just like a 4 string piccolo bass tuned E to G sounds different than the low 4 strings on a guitar. Some of you older guys like me remember when 5 string basses started hitting the market in the early 80s that there were a number of 5 strings that came out of the various factories set up for an E to C tuning (which is also the tuning of the Fender V in the 60s). I've got an 1946 Kay M-5 upright that I have set up as E to C.

Anyway, I think if the Bongo 6 is available from the factory as either a B to C or an E to E, & if packaged E to E strings were also available (like from one of my favorite string companies--Ernie Ball--hint, hint)---I would be on a Bongo 6 even quicker than I would otherwise. Very cool, folks.
