somewhat .. i think it will probably be the same material for our current ray case :rolleyes:

That's cool that they now come with cases. Honestly, though, I'm glad I got them before they did--I don't like hard cases and I'd rather have paid less and not had one more thing to find room for. :D
 
I've receivde my Bongo for 2 weeks...but nevermind, i'm still happy with the ritter gig bag i bougth to carry it. I tried some cases in the dealer's shop to fit with the Bongo, but considering my total lack of muscles, I wouldn't even have been able to carry the case with the bass !
This avoids the dilemma case or gig bag... :p

Knowing your limitations is never a bad thing. :D Don't fret, though--I haven't used cases with my basses for about 10 years now without any problems.




Now, if EB/MM would offer a Bongo leather gigbag, I'd be all over that like white on rice. :cool:
 
my first post is a complaint! isn't that funny?

I just got my shinny new Bongo 5 HH the day before yesterday. It was ordered in October 2004. The first post in this thread, which is dated January of 2004 states that all bongos will now come with cases.

****EDIT****: OK so I'm an idiot. The post is dated in October. Anyway, the case is still on about the case.

Am I missing something? Mine did not come with a case

I'm sorry for my first post to be a complaint. It would have been a picture of my new bass but it's in the shop getting set up. (store hung it up by the neck and ruined the set up..)

Anyhoo.. I'd love to have a case for this thing. Right now it's got a gig bag which is great for toting around in my car, but not so good for trips in "the van" if ya know what I mean.

I was wondering about that myself, especially since I usually have four or five hanging in the studio at any given time.
 
i know i'm being a piss ant, but what's the cheapest hard shell case i could buy, that would fit a bongo? :/
 
Not sure what they are doing wrong there, but they had a Bongo 4 that played splendidly for a few weeks, and then the strings were so far off the neck you could hardly play the thing.

My bongo is in a similar state. So unless you ship them that way I believe they are doing something wrong with the instruments. www.musicstop.ca is the store.

What about the case?
 
I'm glad this thread came up again, because I missed it in October. I didn;t know they were putting cases with the Bongos now. Of course I'm a bassplayer, and we're always the last to know!!
 
We haven't yet started shipping the Bongo's with cases yet. We raised the retail price to include the case around the middle of December. Cases are available to order through any Ernie Ball or Music Man dealer.
