True, I hadn't even known it was relisted until I found the completed auction this morning.

I think it was relisted just 1 minute before the auction got ended with "buy it now".
They made a deal on the phone and safety the chose Ebay as platform. 100%sure about this, so nobody had a chance to see it.
My max would have been $5000 and sorry guys, but I would have played it:eek:
onstage, because that´s what guitars are for.

Well that's a forumla for success.

Next time you've got something that won't sell and to be discontinued ... save a few of them for CLB auctions :) (Not that you can't make anything you want anytime ...)

Isnt it funny that the biggest failures become the highest dollar colllectors pieces.....WE couldnt give the opaque black and gold tops away....

That's funny. I also think gold is kind of fugly IMO...but I offered stupid money for it (but not stupid enough I guess :( ).

When I think of the perfect EBMM, I think of a killer, KILLER tightly quilted top...and the golds and blacks don't have that.

Sterling, in your opinion, did the finished EVH's like the gold and black sound different than the trans-wood finishes? I used to build guitars and noticed that the tone was distinctly different with unpainted guitar bodies prior to applying paint.

Your opinion?

Thanks.
