If you can't handle a dent on an axe, you probably shouldn't be playing. :) They're tools, not art pieces.

All my guitars have dings and scratches... Just this one is special... It was meant as a sarcastic post... BTW this guitar is a work of art :)

Well, as one would have it, I set my guitar against the bathroom wall today after I got done... you know... hey, I was practicing tapping Maj7ths... ANYWAY, I left it where it was, went out to take my dog to the doggie park, and when I got home, the guitar was on the ground. Nice fat little dent by the upper strap button. I guess that's how we christen these nice guitars lol.

EDIT: Nevermind. The "dent" rubbed off. guess it was just some drywall/paint. Well, damn - now I still have the first dent to look forward to...

Don't do nail polish unless it's clear. You can see the wood grain, so it's either stained wood with clear coat. Or it.s a translucent blue lacquer. I'd email Ernie ball and see what they suggest. If it was mine I'd take a mr. Clean magic eraser and lightly take it to the problem area. This may be enough to buff it out. I don't paint guitars for a living, however I am a N interior painter by trade. Your approach to this should be the same as if it was a piece of furniture.

Ernie Ball said to take it to a guitar tech...they don't do repair on paint dings... It's a very little dent... Just wanna seal it so it doesn't spread though..

I know it's hard, but sometimes you just have to let it go. What I'd do is get another one, and make that dinged one a player! It's bound to happen sooner or later but you are playing it rather than just looking at it. rock on!!

What are you talking about, Stratty? Those pants with a matching bandana.... go big or go home!

Maybe an eye patch as well... Forget it! The crowd would be puddy in your hands!
