I currently have 4 Classic Series EBMM basses and a Classic Series Stingray on order. I am pretty sure after I pay for my Sterling 5 that is also on order I will be ordering a Classic Series Stingray 5. I love the necks! I do not know how some folks don't dig the glossy neck. To me that is home. I grew up on 70's era Fenders and a finished neck just is what I am used to. The Classic Series are undeniably the finest looking basses. I so so love the birds eye and flamed maple necks. and the finishes and electronics are so cool. I love to that they are not reissues but improved upon versions with all the modern benes. Keep up the great work gang. I love them!

I agree, the necks feel great and the skinny frets. I love the look of classic 5 with the round pg.

I too love my Classic 4 2 band with a birdseye finish. And I find the neck to be really comfortable to play. I have American Fender Precision and Jazz basses but my Classic Stingray is the one that I favour the most.

You guys who are stuck on this glossy vs. waxed neck I will let you in on a secret... I put a few coats of Rain-X on glossy necks. Makes them super fast. JOSH

I cannot see what all the fuss is about when I read posts on the internet were Bassists are moaning about not liking certain necks for play ability. I have played the majority of well know Bass guitar makes and I have just picked them up and played them without any problems or discomfort.Yes some feel slightly different but all are comfortable and easy to play.
I just cannot understand what they are talking about......

For me, it all comes down to this. Does the neck work with my anatomical geometry to allow me to play while making minimal adjustments? It's all about knowing your body and listening to it. My hands are on the smaller side of the spectrum so I prefer necks w/a 1.5'' nut width. I've also found that lower radius's (7.5" is my fav) work better for me. The flatter the neck the more I have to adjust my hands to get the proper arc for my fretting hand. That being said...no neck is unplayable to me. There are just certain necks that make playing more effortless. The 7.5'' radius 1.5'' nut width neck on the Caprice is such a neck. I don't even have to think about it my hand just glides around effortlessly. That's really the mark that a neck that fits me well. It just feels effortless to play. :) Although and perhaps this is just as important I've spent a lot of time working on my technique and that has made a world of difference :)

Ditto!

Two Classic here. Retro Burst with a Flame that I've never witnessed before (...ever) and Black with Birds Eye.
