Okay Big poppa, you're seriously messing around with the anachronisms now! my only question is why not go all the way? why not put out a 2h classic style stingray with 3eqs?!?!?!?!?! im getting a job as a CNA next year and im a guaranteed buyer of a seafoam green classic 2h. DO IT AND ILL THINK YOUR COOL!!!!!! er!

p.s. im also a guaranteed buyer of a 2h 3eq in seafoam green with one of them fancy necks. or just even seafoam green!

thats what i mean! there was no pre EB 5 strings or sterlings as far as i know. so what im saying is go all the way man!

no offense intended here by the way. just saying if you can, why the heck not?

besides the obvious business end of it being that making a classic for every single make and model on musicman would obviously lower the demand on buying anything that is not classic which would lead people to buy the classic over the new, eventually that'd lead to stagnation, relying solely on old designs and no more innovation which sucks. that and the classic does add just that much more desire to people giving the lower tech basses ie single H 2 eqs a fair chance.

i guess for the sensical reasons above im gonna just hope they offer seafoam green one day on non classic 2hs, that would blow me away or just wait till they offer a green on a 2h that i like as much as the old sherwood green, the seafoam and the trans teal and yes i know green basses dont sell well lol. ive been considering orange or yella but man i love my 3eq 4H too much to buy a new bass and to give it less attention

Where is my classic sterling 5 ?

I am ready to get in on the classic basses ,
but I gotta wait . The sterling 5 rocks .
The StingRay 5 classic is a step backwards
with that giant slab and tiny logo !
5 strings are in and the birds eye classics are the
nicest instruments in the stores today .
I like the darn sterling classic , play 5 string
like a champ , and am gonna have wait it out
for Sterling to pony up the real gem ,
a classic sterling 5 !

Who wants those Les Paul musicman basses ?
And the big al needs a new heastock , bro .

Gotta say, the BA headstock being a 'classic' normal design is what makes the bass IMO, it isnt too 'out there', its different, but you can tell its a Musicman even by looking at it.

Mine should be here in two weeks. Ivory White. I hope I don't lose my job from staying home all day and playing it!

Agreed! I know a lot of people don't care for the headstock, but I dig it.

I'd buy 1 in a New York minute! :D Exactly! Does it come with 19mm spacing?

Seriously: Really really good looking bass! And I bet it sounds the same as it looks. wow

hmmmm.... i gotta say, from my not so distant experience, the ba5's & sr5's seem to fit pretty dammed well on the charts as they currently are ( / were?). call me superstitious as a redhead from texas but never missipsspissi (right...same thing), but im kinda afraid a 19mm spacing would throw everything all off. had i either time, or inclination to measure stupid sh!t like that (if i knew for sure i was alone), and then naturally HAD to ask for a way better life changing upgrade option, i reckon i would ask for smaller spacing so maybe i could jam more of my big al stank-ray right up in the hot100.

ps....no one has mentioned the funny head stock so far.

as always...y.m.m.v.,
love craig.
