Ok. So now I´ve pimped some of my basses. Sorry for bad pics but I do find it almost impossible to take pics of instruments.... Lots of reflections and ****. And I don´t have a photo studio......

Looks alot better IRL, let me tell you....
A 30th Anniversary looks GREAT without a pickguard but then there is the problem with the screw holes. But this is close enough and I do like it. I also got a clear pickguard for my rather "regular" orange Stingray with matching headstock. Again, it looks SO much better IRL.
I usually don´t really care alot about messing about with instruments but I could not help myself this time......And it did not cost that much. I´ll keep them like this for awhile. One can always redo it and put the old pickguards back on again.....

Real, Real, Real nice.
My Sterling had a stock white guard, no problem with it at all. I just opted to add a clear guard just to feature the full effect of the outstanding grain of the Ash body, I really love the look. I doubt I will go back to any other colored guard on this bass for awhile.
