Hi, thought I'd try these on my CS-336. Put the string through the post, tightened the locking tuner, started to bring the string up to pitch and when it got to around D, the string broke off at the tuning peg! Been playing more than 40 years and never had this happen. Anybody else experience something like this. Ernie Ball, will you replace the set?

A similar thing happened to me yesterday with the D string from a set of Cobalt 10's. It never even got close to D before it broke. I contacted customer service through email but haven't received a response yet. I know these aren't crappy strings, that just wouldn't seem right coming from Ernie B. I hope I'm as lucky as you and get a replacement, that set cost about $10 here in Illinois.

Edit:I just got the response from Ernie Ball customer service and they agreed to send me a replacement. I can't wait to hear how they sound on my 60's Les Paul Tribute.
