I've had my orange Axis SS for about 6 years now. I am the second owner and I'm the one that put most of the miles on it. The frets were in good shape when I got it, but sadly, I'm getting ready to send it in for a refret. There are divots all over them now. I'm a little bit proud of that. LOL.
I was just sitting here playing and just loving the 2nd and 4th position single coil sounds. Every once in a while, I fall in love with it all over again. I've gone through about 20 other guitars since I got my Axis SS, but I'll die owning this one. It's simply the best sounding, best playing and most beautiful guitar that I've ever laid my hands or eyes on. Nothing feels like this guitar or let's me express myself the way this one does.

I recently acquired an axis, my feelings are the same. Mine has a 3 position toggle, I love the middle and neck positions the best, even when you turn the volume down its still crisp and snappy. Love love love it! Is there a big difference in sound and feel between the axis and axis ss? Without the tone circuit that would change things yes?
