All of my guitars are road worn. They all have paint chips, dings and dents. I never abuse them, just USE them! Three of them have been re-fretted too. None of them are for sale, so it really doesnt matter to me.

My Silo ( a '95 ) is a bit beat up. First 'ding' it got was walking out the front door of a buddy's house and somehow the case fell open and it rolled right out onto the concrete porch. Talk about devestated! Over the last 10+ years it's managed to acquire several small dents, chips and scratches only a fraction of which I can recall how they came to be. Sometimes I think trolls crawl out of the walls and whack my guitar at night... Other than that, the paint seems to be getting brittle along the edges of the trem cavity route and recessed neck plate pocket. Some of it has chipped off while merely polishing it. All in all, all the 'damage' is superficial. It still plays and sounds great. I'll probably refin it some day, once I have another MM or 2 to fill in for it.

I use my Morse intensively since 2001. So, there are some scratches (on the body, on the pickups, ...). A ding also (a memory from a concert !). Of course, the frets are worn and the string saddle of the low E is also really worn.
Guitar are made to be played. If your guitar is not worn, it's because you don't play enough !
