fbecir said:In France, selling a counterfeit item is a crime. Buying one also ... I think it is the same in a lot of countries.
It seems that E-BAY is damaging a lot of honest companies like MusicMan.
It is a sort of commercial terrorism ...
Warg Master said:It's not ebay's fault.
fbecir said:Well, E-BAY is earning money with every transaction. So how many dollars does E-BAY win with all the counterfeit items ???
Even if a mosquito drinks just a small drop of blood, it can give you paludism ...
It is the E-BAY's responsability to filter all the bad stuff. If they don't do it, who can ?
Warg Master said:The Item already exists, should it be destroyed? Whatever happened previously when the item was new, whatever lawsuit has been settled and the company that made the guitar does not make money off of this transaction.
fbecir said:Normally, yes the item sould be destroyed. It is the law.
If a guy buy this item, this guy will not buy an OLP for instance. So OLP (and MusicMan) will lose a customer or an honest owner of an OLP will lose an occasion to sell legally his guitar.
It is the same if you buy a copy of a Rolex in China. When you go back in Europe (or USA I think), if the custom officers find it, you will have a fine and they will destroy the copy. As a buyer, you are legally responsible.
Beth said:They're fakes -- the Japanese distributor Kanda Shokai has already informed me about them, the "SX" models... Hey everyone! Let's think of funny meanings of the acronym "SX":
Sucky Xperience
Sh*itty aXe
Surely Xtraterrestrial
SteveB said:Acronyms will be hard due to the small number of words that begin with x... maybe I'll try some other avenues:
"Just add 'u' and it SuX!"
So inXpensive!
Specifications ineXact
Shouldn't Xist

Warg Master said:So if you have a problem with it, then contact ebay. That's why they have the safeharbor team.
