The CIC can feel Rob's pain and sends comforting thoughts from halfway around the world. Then looks north to roll his eyes in the general direction of Canada  and starts to pull secret membership files.....(including those of green guitar enthusiasts;)

Dear Sir

Thank you for your inquiry into adding a Floyd Rose to a nearly perfect guitar. After careful consideration by our screening committee and our internet ombudsman...

OVER MY DEAD BODY!

Actually we dont have any plans to expand our floyd rose offerings.
You guys are very funny to me...the shock and awe of the two humbucking AL...it is on lt the first guitars pictured in this thread.....The hundredth post is sudden surprise?

Just wanted to post a quote i made back in 2008 about Al's that another member had asked the question "Are al's gaining in popularity"

"I think those first few people to order it( The Albert Lee) were visionarys. In the same way the first few people who embraced the totaly wild design of 1954 the Fender Statocaster. It takes a person who is ahead of his time to choose new or different body designs and break away from the pack.I must admit that i didnt see the beauty of this guitar until recently and would like to bop myself a good one for not buying one sooner. So i salute those early owners for their eclectic taste and balls to play something different and build a legend."

I still stand behind this quote,

Park

jim jim jim - errr no - Al's are perfection - humbuckers are now perfection V2.0 -

Bigsby that'd eb beta!!

Yeah, I was kidding.... it would throw off the guitar's balance considerably. It would have to be a custom made vibrato to fit, most likely. So, I take it you're going to be adding a two hummed Al to your collection? Were you considering butchering an older Al to add twin hums? That would be Al treasonous!!

I see no BFR logo - could this mean the HH AL is going to be a 'regular' model??? -

Currently selling my soul on ebay regardless to ensure funds are available!

+1 My first time seeing the AL was in a guitar book back in 2000 (I think). I remember thinking it was plain ugly. Now I think it's a very cool design and can't wait to own one.

I'm hoping this question gets answered.

Are the twin hummer ALs going to be available with regular production rosewood boarded necks like the white one BP is playing in the picture?

I think I just heard Rob faint :D

...over my snickering? Impossible....

*hits the floor in disgust and at the inappropriate and insulting thought of a floyd on an AL. oh the horror. need to scrub.*

...I wouldn't go so far as to use "disgust" and "insulting" - some people don't like ketchup on eggs either, you know...to each their own:). In concept, flexibility is a good thing....

...actually, some of Canada is both east and south of USA, depending on where one lives, but enough of geography....does this mean I have to sell all five of the ALs I currently own??? Including my Dargie???

...I had already figured that any further options (FR included) would have been indicated, but just went with the "if you don't ask, you won't know for sure". I would like to go on record as saying that I have absolutely nothing but respect for the options you provide, and am absolutely thrilled to play the EBMMs I have as they are....and I think the AL IS a perfect guitar, at least in my humble opinion ....

...and I apologize for even suggesting the FR for the AL....

Can I go back to my seat now? I'm tired of writing lines on the blackboard...

that's an all rosewood neck on that Al

so, is it a one-piece rosewood neck, or is it a rosewood neck with a rosewood board?

I'm salivating over the three rosewood boarded Als on the wall.... damn!! Obviously these are maple necked and rosewood boarded Als. I certainly wish they were available to the public as options...in a hardtail of course.... or in twin hummer config... notice none of them have Alberts signature.

These could be produced as regualar prodution Als and be called just "The Al" instead of the Artist signature model. Or maybe the Albert Special...

BP I'm sorry to suggest another thousand variations for you'all in the factory to hypothetically contend with.
But it's an idea that isn't far fetched, there's lots of folks that like rosewood boards and ALs...
